Bio

Sonia Tymecka
Sonia, originally from a small village in Poland, was raised in a family deeply passionate about music, culture, and the arts. Her early exposure to theatre and folklore music sparked a love for travel and exploration. After high school, she moved to London and earned a master’s degree in Business and Marketing from Middlesex University. Driven by curiosity and adventure, Sonia embarked on a transformative three-year journey across over 80 countries on five continents, gaining communication, creativity, and confidence skills while becoming fluent in a new language. During her travels, she also became a deep-sea diving instructor and offered communal sound therapy sessions in Argentina, blending her love for adventure and wellness.
In 2012, Sonia settled in Australia, where she delved into mindfulness and sound meditation, becoming a certified sound therapist, artist, and educator. Her work has taken her from luxury resorts in the Blue Mountains to a science-based wellness center in Sydney. Now based on the Central Coast in New South Wales, she balances motherhood with offering private sound therapy sessions, crafting experiences designed for healing and self-discovery.
Sonia’s unique approach integrates ancient sound traditions and modern wellness practices. She has studied under the guidance of esteemed teachers such as Dr. Mitch Nur from 9 Ways Academia, as well as Don Conreaux, Jens Zygar, and Martin Blase. Over the past decade, her pursuit has broadened as she explored the power of sound to raise consciousness, facilitate healing, and create profound transformations. Known for her live gong concerts, she blends gongs, bells, and metal instruments to create immersive, transformational experiences.
An early adopter of meditation, Sonia’s music invites deep introspection and self-exploration. During her early performances, she encountered altered states of consciousness and sought to understand them through kundalini yoga, energy work, and studying how sound affects consciousness and self-healing. Her love for long sustained drones, overtones, and psychoacoustics continues to inspire her work. She has spent the last decade introducing sound baths to diverse audiences across Australia, helping clients overcome life challenges and reach their goals.
